Order Process

ONLINE ORDER

Shop online and submit your order once you have made your choice.

PAYMENT

Choose from our various payment options for you online purchase.

MANUFACTURE

Once your order has been received and your payment is confirmed, we will start the manufacturing process. Some non-stock items have a lead time of 4-6 weeks. This information will be shared with you via our Sales Team.

DELIVERY

Once your order is ready for delivery, you will be contacted by our Logistics department to arrange for a convenient delivery time.

  • Choose your products and add to cart.
  • Choose your payment option and finalize payment.
  • Finalize order and submit.
  • An Icon Living consultant will be in touch to confirm your order details. We offer a wide variety of options on our products, therefore some items may not be in stock and will have to be manufactured. The manufacturing lead time on items varies between 2-6 weeks, depending on various factors. The lead time and details of your order will be discussed with you by a consultant.
  • Once your order is ready for delivery, we will contact you to confirm a delivery date.
  • Receive and enjoy your new Icon Living
    piece.
  • Rate and review – share your experience with us and add some photographs of your new iconic lifestyle.

Payment Options

Pricing and stock availability are applicable to all online purchases and may differ from seasonal promotions. All prices include VAT. All transactions will be processed in South African Rand (ZAR). Icon Living endeavours to offer you competitive prices on current products;
your total order price will include the price of the purchase plus any applicable sales taxes and shipping charges. Please refer to the Delivery terms for more info on shipping costs. Icon Living reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice. The manufacture process will not commence until your order and payment option is confirmed.

EFT / CASH DEPOSIT

Once you choose this option when you check out, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail with banking details and reference to use
for your payment. Please make sure that you use the correct reference number in order for the payment to be allocated to your order. Send your proof of payment to

If payment does not reflect withing 48 hours, your order will be postponed.

INSTANT EFT (ozow / payfast)
Instant EFT provides you, the customer, instant verification for a secure instant deposit via the Ozow and/or Payfast service.

LAY BY

When selecting lay-by as an option, you will automatically use the EFT / Cash Deposit payment option. You will receive a pro-forma invoice indicating your payment terms, amounts and dates. It is your responsibility to pay on time and keep your lay-by active.

  • Pay for your order over 3 or 6months – interest free!
  • Your installment will be calculated according to the term you choose and will start once first payment has been received.
  • Simply select the lay-by payment term and we will contact you with your monthly repayments and more information.
  • Should you wish to settle earlier than your chosen term, we need to be notified at least one month before to ensure stock is ready for delivery / collection.
  • Failure to pay as agreed will result in cancellation and a 15% cancellation fee will be charged as handling fee.
  • Delivery will only be arranged once the lay-by has been settled in full. Our standard Terms and Conditions also apply to lay-by purchases.

Delivery and Returns

The estimated delivery lead time quoted to you at the time of order is at best an estimate. Every effort will be made at all times to keep to your date. It does, however, occasionally happen that delays outside of our control are encountered. Icon Living will strive to expedite delayed lead times and will make every effort to ensure that the customer is updated on the progress of the delayed order.

We endeavour to deliver on date and on time. Ownership of the goods will rest with Icon Living until payment has been received in full,
whereafter an invoice will be issued. Payment of the full value of the order is required before Icon Living will deliver or before we can authorize collection. 

Delivery Policy

  • Deliveries will be done by Icon Living and / or sub-contractors, subject to your address being within our designated delivery zones. You will be charged accordingly on your invoice.
  • Deliveries will be available from Monday to Saturday.
  • For deliveries outside our designated zones, you will be contacted by our staff to confirm delivery price and delivery instructions.

To ensure the swift and smooth delivery of your goods, please make sure that you clear the room(s) where your new goods are to be located prior to the delivery service arriving. The customer must remove all breakable items in the path of the delivery. Icon Living’s delivery crew are not permitted to re-arrange customer’s furniture. Icon Living’s delivery crew will place the goods in the place of the customer’s choice. The delivery crew is not permitted to lift or take away any unwanted items of furniture or items not designated for removal with the sales team in advance. It is in the customer’s own interest that all loose items of value be removed from the delivery site and that pets be secured in a safe location away from the crew and delivery site. Icon Living cannot be held responsible for any items claimed to be missing following a delivery. Breakables such as glasses, vases, wall mountings etc. must be secured or removed from the delivery site.

Delivery policy for flats and small apartments: The maximum sofa length that can be fitted into an elevator cannot exceed 2.1m. If the flat
or apartment does not have a lift suitable for the furniture, the Icon Living delivery team will only be allowed to carry the items up to the 1st floor, providing the passages are wide enough to accommodate the items without any damage to the goods. Icon Living’s delivery teams are not equipped to hoist goods over balconies. Should items need to be hoisted, a dedicated team would be contracted and this would incur an additional charge.

 

 Icon Living shall not be responsible for any damage whatsoever – whether direct or consequential – rising out of the use of the goods or in respect of any late or short delivery.

Icon Living provides its standard guarantees only and no other guarantees, warranties or representations of whatsoever nature will be valid in respect of goods.

RETURN POLICY

 

All merchandise displayed and sold by Icon Living is subject to strict standards of quality control. Should a customer not be satisfied with any product, Icon Living must be contacted within 7 days from date of receipt. Icon Living will endeavour to repair or replace the item in question. If, within a reasonable time period, Icon Living is unable to repair or replace the item a full refund of all monies paid will be made. Clients may not return items on the basis that new or latest item prices are lower than their previously purchased goods. Icon Living reserves the right to at any time sell items for lower prices than they were sold for previously.

Product Guarantees and Warranties

All items will have specified guarantee and warranty terms listed in the item description.

GUARANTEE IS DEPENDENT ON THE PROPER CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE ITEM.

THE FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS ARE GIVEN

  • Does not apply to furniture that was at any time used as floor samples or display models.
  • Does not apply to furniture that was sold “as is” or second hand or furniture sold in a distressed state.
  • Does not apply to furniture damaged by any other company used for collections/ deliveries that is not our own
  • Only covers furniture intended for normal household / office use.
  • Does not cover any condition resulting from misuse or abuse.
  • Does not cover scratches, gouges, stains, heat marks, water marks, imprints, ink, marker, neglect and normal wear and tear
  • Does not cover broken glass or mirrors.
  • Repairs will only be done if accompanied by a copy of the original receipt.
  • All repairs not covered by the warranty will be charged for, as will any repairs that fall outside the warranty time limit.

Warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice, or other proof of purchase.

  • Proof of purchase is required for the warranty to come into effect and will only be valid when the goods are paid in full.
  • The warranty does not extend to the fabric or leather used on upholstered items as this is subject to wear and tear associated with usage and treatment in the customer’s environment and thus beyond the manufacturer’s control. Leather and timber might have natural marks and/or color variations due to the nature of the material and these cannot be seen as defects or signs of damage.

Accessing, viewing and using this website, implies that you “user(s)”,”visitor(s)” agree to accept and adhere to the following Terms and Conditions of use of this website.

Icon Living Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.iconliving.co.za (the “Site”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Order Information is used to fill any orders placed through the Site. This includes processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Colours of our products shown on this website may appear different on your computer compared with the actual colour of the product. Different computers or devices may display colours differently depending on the type of computer screen technology and settings ( such as LCD, plasma, desktop or laptop). Therefore it is strongly recommended that you request samples in order see the actual colour of the item.  Icon Living cannot be held responsible for any mistakes in ordered items where the actual colour differs from that appearing on the website as viewed or perceived by the user.

Please note that our 3-seater sofas vary in style and some only have two large seats as opposed to 3 seats but measurements are available on the web for your convenience.

While we are committed to deliver on time, the actual delivery date is subject to prevailing circumstances and there may be changes of date and time. Ownership of the goods will rest with Icon Living until payment has been received in full, whereafter an invoice will be issued. Payment of the full value of the order is required before Icon Living will deliver or before we can authorize collection. Payments made by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) before daily bank cut-off times require a 48-hour period to clear funds and allocate them to the orders.

 

Warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice, or other proof of purchase.

The warranty does not extend to the fabric or leather used on upholstered items as it is subject to wear and tear associated with usage and treatment in the customer’s environment and thus beyond the manufacturer’s control. Leather and timber might have natural marks and/or color variations due to the nature of the material and these cannot be seen as defects or signs of damage.

These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, and any action or dispute contemplated by the parties hereto shall be submitted to either arbitration, or the jurisdiction of the South African Courts, at the election of Icon Living. These terms and conditions are severable, in that if any provision is determined to be illegal or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, then such provision shall be deemed to have been deleted without affecting the remaining provisions of the terms and conditions. Our failure to exercise any particular rights or provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision, unless acknowledged and agreed to by us in writing. These terms and conditions shall be for the benefit of Icon Living and may be waived by us in our discretion.

Prevailing South African law will govern these Terms and Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Icon Living or its affiliates.
